Letting go isn't that bad,

and then the comfort and stability of getting caught in the arms of friends (:
today i was really annoyed with myself!
I had not 1, not 2, not even 3, but EIGHT bouts of hiccups!
it was really annoying!
the first bout came during civics in the morning (if i remember correctly) then chem lecture, before lunch, after meeting to discuss swim camp, while i was doing math assignment in the canteen, twice before training, and the last one while i was walking to the pool!
it was REALLY annoying and very uncomfortable. D:
and i tried all the traditional methods of making them stop like holding your breath and drinking water (which made me drink a WHOLE lot of water today. for the first time in my life i had to refill my 1 litre bottle in school. ha.)
but they didn't really work (the hiccups would go away on their own then come back when i least expected it! >< )
which led me to look for cures online.
and 1 of them is quite effective!
you pinch your nose and drink 10-20 sips of water until you feel like your lungs are ready to burst, then you take a deep breath of air.
ha. 8)
anyway, other than that it was a good day!

he gave it to me before flag-raising yesterday and throughout the whole day i couldn't wait to go home and listen to all the songs. :D
most of them are really good!
my favourite (aside from tongue tied) is When I'm With You!
it's only the 3rd song in my ipod to have been awarded the honour of being played on repeat the ENTIRE night. (i.e. until today morning.)
and no, i have not grown sick of it because it's such a sweet song with a really nice melody. (i can't find a good word to describe it other than the generic 'nice' but you only have to listen to the song to see what i mean (: )
and these few days i've been feeling particularly motivated to study (i.e. become a full-time mugger ahaha)
the atmosphere is seriously contagious.
i guess the importance of this year has not escaped us (the J2s).
lectures are now SO quiet. and everywhere in the canteen after school you see people mugging. which i must say is rare for merely the SECOND week of school.
in contrast you see the J1s hanging out in their OGs/classes, playing their little games and having fun. (AND taking up the canteen tables i must add!)
seeing them reminds me of this time just last year when we were in their shoes!
but regardless of all their playing and having fun and just enjoying their J1 year, whereas we have the terrible A's looming over ours, i don't envy them at all and i would never want to go back to being a J1.
There's this feeling that this is the last lap, the home stretch for us and i would just like to put my head down, go full speed ahead and finish it.
rather than start all the way at the beginning (like the J1s are currently doing), because its been a rather long and quite tiring journey to get to where we are now.
(not to mention there's no PW in J2! nothing against my PW group, it's just that PW gets really irritating after awhile)
AND of course we get to come in at 9.30 on Mondays!
